Thank you so much for sharing your experience, Stefanie. I had tears in my eyes as I read. Cancer impacts so many lives – and pancreatic cancer is one of the worst. I’m off to join the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network – maybe if enough of us join and volunteer, we can help in finding a cure in the near future for this horrible disease.

Oooh, this is a film version of a Jane Austen title I’ve never seen – must go find it immediately. Rupert Penry-Jones does brooding almost as well as Colin Firth. Yum.

Oh, Stefanie, your post brought tears to my eyes. What a lovely tribute to your dad and your mom. I didn’t know your dad, but I count your mom as one of my dearest friends, and I agree, she’s a champ.

Cancer has touched our family deeply, too. My beloved grandson lost his mom to cancer two years ago — this time colon cancer. She was only 40 when she died. It’s so horrible to watch someone you love die of this awful disease. I so hope we find a cure soon.

Bravo! I totally agree with you and I think that people put too much emphasis on the political parties and not enough on how we should find a solution to all these crises. I would have been okay with either candidates winning because the bottom line is that I want to see more unity among citizens. I know a lot of people are affected by the war, financials, job loss, etc and I can only hope that there will be improvements and solutions soon. I know we’ll get there if we all stick together.

Oh, very nice! Last week I saw a fake-photo of cars waiting to cross the border into Canada, explaining that’s what would happen if the “wrong” candidate won. But the image of people reaching out to neighbors, no matter which candidate won, is a lot more inspiring.
